Back in France

This morning we drove to Domaine de Balme, as this was advertised as one of the six exceptionalski areas in the Mont Blanc area. Rune made a comment yesterday about the elevation, saying that this was as flat as a hardwood floor... When we arrived we had to agree. We took a tour of the area just to make sure, and as the last snow came about three weeks ago off piste wasn't really all that tempting either. By lunch time we got in the car and went back "home", to Les Grands Montets. In one word: awesome!

Kristine in front of an interesting sign.... a man falling down head first!
Flat landscape...sorry - gotta go!!
Hi there...
Beautiful France!
Helicopter landing. Or? Hm, I thought this was the ski slope.

Puh! Tired?... NO!!!
Vacation is grrrrreat!
Rune at 3300 m. Ready for the descent.
Yo!
About halfway down from the peak.
Look at the view! Everlasting...

And eventually: APRÉS SKI!!

Skiing in the Alps

Argentiere is a village not far from Chamonix. It'll be our place to crash after hours of skiing day after day! I'm not in any way fluent in French, but the basics from school is helpful in understanding signs and short sentences. Luckily it seems they are used to speaking English, although a bit haltingly.

Activities at Gløshaugen

-brought to you by SiT idrett!

On Sundays Therese has a zumba class in the afternoons, and this Sunday we'd made plans to team teach. The class was packed, and Therese was one big smile as always. She's inspiring!

Anfrid who also works in SiT idrett as an instructor participated in the class. And made it into the picture below!

Usually Christel teaches Corebar and Pump afterwards but as she was in Stockholm for the Nike Blast, the largest Scandinavian fitness convention, Anneli and Cecilie joined forces and threw a blast of themselves!

Anfrid decided to participate in this class as well!

The easy way out

On Sundays, on our way back home from Åre it is all too tempting to order sushi. As Kyoto is closed on Sundays we've had to find someplace else. And as it happens, Bryggen Asian Cooking has the best online ordering system! Last weekend was all about sashimi, this Sunday we tested out a variety of their makis. Scallops is still a favorite!
