Sun in the heart

In August of 2001 I was a freshman at NTNU.

Two years prior I graduated from Druid Hills High School. After one incredible year in Atlanta, GA, I had my eyes set on Emory University. Life didn't pan out that way, instead I did the IB program (international baccaulereate) in my hometown back in Norway. Two months after finishing with tons of ambition and plans I again found myself pursuing my education in Trondheim, Norway.

Man, was that the right move!! Don't get me wrong. I never completed the program I enrolled in. In fact, I spent the next few years trying to find my professional path. However, what I did find that August in 2001 was my future husband!

We started dating in February, which means we had our 10th anniversary this winter! And today we've been married five years and a day… We spent the day in Åre at my family's cabin. As the weather has been little less than disappointing this summer, I thought it was apt to quote my mom: if there's sun in the heart, it's a good place to be.

  1. Helt utrolig å tenke på at det er 11 år siden vi begynte og studere i Trondheim. Jeg angrer ikke et sekund på at jeg valgte NTNU. :)
